A construction foreman on the fifth floor wanted to call his worker who was working below.
After shouting several times, the worker couldn't hear due to being focused on his work and the noise of the construction equipment.
The foreman continued his efforts to get the worker to look up by throwing a $1 note that fell right beside the worker.
The worker simply picked up the $1 and continued working.
Finally, the foreman threw a $50 note, hoping the worker would glance up even for a moment.
However, the worker only jumped with joy upon finding the $50 and went back to work, completely engrossed.
In the end, the foreman threw a small stone that hit the worker's head. Feeling the pain, the worker finally looked up and was able to communicate with the foreman.

The story above is similar to our lives. Allah always wants to greet us, but we are always busy with our "worldly" matters.
Whether we are given a little or a lot of sustenance, we often forget to look up and be grateful to Him.
Even more often, we don't care about where the sustenance comes from.
We often say, "We are just lucky!"
What's worse, we become arrogant with the blessings bestowed upon us by Allah.
So, let us not wait until we receive a "small stone" that we call a Calamity! May we always turn to Him.
Indeed, Allah loves us dearly. Let us always remember to look towards Him so that there is no need to throw small stones again when Allah misses us and wants to communicate with us.
May it be beneficial.
